Erin
Through years of experience teaching in a one-on-one setting, Erin has earned a reputation that promotes excellence in individualized learning. Erin started tutoring in the special education department of her high school before moving on to receive her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in Psychological Science. There she was a mentor, coach, and cheerleader. After graduation, she began teaching children with autism in a one-to-one classroom setting. She eventually earned her certificate as a Registered Behavior Technician before beginning her Master's Program in Psychological Science with a focus in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. She received her Master's along with a 4.0 GPA from Southern New Hampshire University.
She began her journey as a full-time private tutor as the Covid pandemic closed down schools. Now, she works with students of all ages and levels ranging from first grade to graduate. She excels at helping students reach their full potential with reading, comprehension, writing, organization, study skills, and executive functioning.
Better than Books understands that each student has a unique learning style and study habits, and how difficult it can be to receive the one-on-one support they need in the classroom. That’s why we cater our tutoring & coaching services to the particular needs and circumstances of each individual. When you work with Better than Books you can guarantee that you or your student's needs will be heard and honored. We strive for the student to have an enjoyable tutoring experience that translates to the classroom and life beyond the classroom.
